On Tuesday, January 30, 2018 the Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation and Sustainable Saratoga presented a program about building heights in Downtown Saratoga Springs. The program began with a presentation by George Jacquemart, a principal at the planning and urban design firm BFJ Planning who has worked on several projects in downtown Saratoga Springs. His presentation will identify key design features that have shaped great streets around the world, and will illustrate how these building height features could be applied to Saratoga Springs. Following the presentation, a panel including developer Sonny Bonacio, architect Matt Hurff, Principal Planner for the City of Saratoga Springs Kate Maynard, and historic preservationist Doug Kerr provided their reactions to the speaker’s remarks and fielded questions from attendees.
